1. Overview

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the VintagePaws Studios website (vintage-paws.com) and our AI-powered pet portrait services. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

2. Service Description

VintagePaws Studios uses artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) to transform photos of your pet (and optionally yourself) into fine art portrait paintings in various artistic styles.

We offer three product formats: Digital Download (high-resolution digital file), Premium Print (professional-quality printed portrait), and Framed Masterpiece (printed and framed portrait).

3. AI-Generated Art

Our portraits are generated by artificial intelligence. While we strive for high-quality results that faithfully represent your pet, AI-generated artwork may vary in style, interpretation, and likeness accuracy.

Each portrait is unique. Regenerating a portrait with the same inputs will produce a different result. We offer up to two free regenerations per style during the creation process.

Preview images displayed during the creation process include a watermark. The watermark is removed from the final purchased product.

4. Your Photos

By uploading photos to our service, you confirm that:

  • You own the photos or have permission to use them
  • The photos do not contain inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
  • You consent to the photos being processed by our AI system for the purpose of generating your portrait

We do not claim ownership of your uploaded photos. Your photos are used solely for portrait generation and are not used for AI training, marketing, or shared with third parties beyond what is necessary to provide the service.

5. Ownership & Usage Rights

Upon completing your purchase, you receive a personal, non-exclusive licence to use your generated portrait for personal, non-commercial purposes. This includes printing, framing, sharing on social media, and using as personal wallpapers or profile pictures.

You may not resell, sublicence, or commercially distribute the generated portraits. VintagePaws Studios retains the right to use anonymised or non-identifiable examples of generated artwork for promotional purposes, unless you opt out by contacting us.

6. Pricing & Payment

All prices are displayed in euros (EUR) and include applicable taxes where required. Payment is processed securely through Shopify Payments.

We reserve the right to update pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect orders that have already been placed and confirmed.

7. Digital Downloads

Digital portrait files are delivered via email to the address provided at checkout. Downloads are available immediately after payment confirmation. Please check your spam/junk folder if you do not receive the email within one hour.

8. Physical Products

Premium Prints and Framed Masterpieces are produced by our print partner, Prodigi. Delivery times vary by location and are typically 5-10 business days for standard shipping.

Colours in the final print may vary slightly from the digital preview due to differences between screen displays and print media. This is normal and not considered a defect.

9. Refund Policy

Digital Downloads: Due to the nature of digital products, refunds are generally not offered once the download link has been delivered. If you are unsatisfied with the quality, please contact us and we will work with you to find a solution, which may include a free regeneration.

Physical Products: If your print arrives damaged or with a significant printing defect, please contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos of the issue. We will arrange a replacement or refund at no extra cost.

Cancellations: Orders for physical products may be cancelled within 2 hours of placement, provided the print order has not yet been submitted to our fulfilment partner.

10. Limitation of Liability

VintagePaws Studios provides its service "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

  • AI-generated portraits will perfectly match your expectations
  • The service will be available without interruption
  • Generated images will be free from AI artefacts or imperfections

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from use of our service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific order in question.

11. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  • Use our service to generate offensive, harmful, or illegal content
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits or abuse our generation system
  • Upload photos you do not have the right to use
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with our service or APIs

We reserve the right to refuse service and terminate access for violations of these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting to this page. Continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
